Arthritis of the Spine
This condition develops when vertebrae in the spine lose their articular cartilage lining and develop arthritis. Exercise programs and medicine are used as treatment to stabilize the spine and decrease pain.
Disc Herniation
A protrusion of a disc or its gelatinous substance outside its position and into the spinal canal. Conservative management through exercise and medication can be used as treatment. If the pain persists, surgery to remove the disc becomes a possibility.
